Norwich City winger Onel Hernandez has praised the effects of the Canaries' warm weather training camp in the US as they step up preparations for their Championship return.

City face Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on 10 December having stopped playing competitively for a month due to the World Cup being played.

Dean Smith's side jetted out to Tampa Bay last week with their families, and the mercurial 29-year-old has enjoyed several of the aspects of the trip. He is, however, looking forward to getting back to league games.

He told official club channels of the week away: "It was very busy and very tough, but it was a very good week. It's a good week, to go away and stay in the same place and keep working. It definitely gets the squad together, and working together on good points.

"It was a nice day (when the club organised an open training session for supporters at the training camp), for all the fans to come together and have a nice chat with them as well.

"(I'm looking forward to playing again) 100pc. We've still got another two weeks to Swansea, but it's enough time to prepare ourselves for the game.

"I would like to stay here (in Tampa) a bit longer in the nice weather, but we have to fly back to the UK and keep the work going."
