David Wagner previewed Norwich City’s Championship trip to Coventry City - and we had all the key lines first direct from Colney.

The Canaries' romped to a 4-0 win at Preston on Wagner's first league game in charge since he replaced Dean Smith.

The City chief indicated he had no fresh injury concerns from those who featured at Deepdale.

Ben Gibson (calf) and Sam Byram (hamstring) missed out at Preston. Gibson returned to training this week but is not in contention for the Sky Blues.

Byram could be out for 'five and seven' weeks but requires further assessment. Wagner did confirm there has been no surgery.

Wagner was pressed on Todd Cantwell's future, with the midfielder heavily linked to Rangers.

The City boss did not comment on reports in Scotland on Thursday afternon the clubs have reached agreement, and the move is now subject to a medical. Wagner did disclose 'from everything I hear it suggests it is on a good way' in relation to Cantwell's pending exit.

Ibrox boss Michael Beale had indicated this week he expects Cantwell to leave Carrow Road this month and is a confirmed admirer of the 24-year-old.

Newcastle loanee Isaac Hayden has undergone further knee surgery. City have no option to terminate the loan this month but Wagner is hopeful the midfielder can return for the 'closing weeks of the season'.

Jacob Ramsey returned to Aston Villa earlier this month after a knee operation prompted the clubs to cancel his season long loan.

Wagner and City's medical staff are still in the process of assessing Przemyslaw Placheta, who returned last week from his loan spell at Birmingham, but has not featured since August with a shin injury.

Jon Rowe is a longer term absentee, after ankle surgery in December, that will keep him out for a minimum of two months.
