Young Norwich City striker Tom Dickson-Peters has joined League Two side Grimsby Town in a late Deadline Day loan move.

The 20-year-old has played predominantly for the Canaries' U21s this season, scoring on five occasions and recording three assists in 12 matches for Alan Neilson's side.

Dickson-Peters, a Scottish youth international, is yet to make a senior appearance for Norwich and has six months left on his current contract at Carrow Road.

He previously spent time on loan at Gillingham last season, where he played nine times under then-boss Steve Evans.

Grimsby are currently 16th in League Two and remain in the FA Cup, having forced Luton Town to a replay on Saturday after a 2-2 draw at Kenilworth Road.

Former Ipswich boss Paul Hurst expressed his delight at being able to bring Dickson-Peters to the club for the remainder of the season via the club's official channels.

“I’m really pleased to be able to bring Tom into the Club. He’s a player I’ve enquired about bringing in before but he wasn’t allowed out so I’m happy to get it sorted now," Hurst said.

“He adds to our options at the top end of the pitch and comes with a bit of experience from a loan spell in League One with Gillingham. I’m happy to be able to bring him to the Club.”
