Jordan Hugill has thanked Norwich City supporters for their support in his first interview since leaving the club last week.

The experienced striker left Carrow Road to join Rotherham United on a free transfer last week - but has nothing but fond memories from his time in Norfolk.

Hugill was a popular figure among players and everyone at Colney during his three and a half years at the club, contributing to City's title-winning campaign in the 2021-22 season and being a valued team member behind the scenes.

He signed from West Ham United in 2020, making 44 appearances during his time in Norfolk, scoring on six occasions. Rotherham had been long-term admirers of Hugill and beat off heavy competition to secure the services of the 30-year-old.

Speaking exclusively to the Pink Un after his exit was confirmed, Hugill has reflected on his spell at Norwich, discussed his move to Rotherham and opened up on the highs and lows of his spell in yellow and green.

The full interview will be available to read on the Pink Un + app and available to listen in full as a podcast from 5pm this evening.

Paying tribute to the Norwich fanbase, Hugill has delivered an emotional message of gratitude for their support.

"I just want to say thank you," Hugill told the Pink Un.

"They didn't see as much of me as I would have liked, but I hope they know that when I was on that pitch, I gave everything that I could and I was always myself with them and the team.

"I had some great times and met some fantastic people who will always be a close part of that.

"I really, really enjoyed my time there. I only have good words to say about the club and the people within that club.

"I was always happy and I just like to have fun. Hopefully, that always came across in everything that I did. I really enjoyed myself and just want to say thank you."
