With eight games left in Norwich City's Championship play-off push, Samuel Seaman gets his predictions in for the rest of the Canaries' season.

SHEFFIELD UNITED (H)

When: Saturday, April 1, 3pm

Reverse fixture: Sheffield United 2-2 Norwich City

At one stage the Blades looked unstoppable, and were almost alongside Burnley in the promotion guarantee category.

There early season form resembled a steam train rolling through the weaker Championship they were happy to face, but signs of a wobble have crept in in recent months.

Of course, the quality of the squad remains good enough to keep them in the second division's top two, but pressure from mometum-building Middlesbrough means this is a big one for Paul Heckingbottom's men.

Springing an upset may be required in the Canaries' current predicament, however, so this could be an end-to-end one.

Prediction: City have struggled against the Championship's top sides this season, so it's difficult to see a win on the cards. With home advantage and a point to prove, however, a point seems fairly possible. 1-1

BLACKBURN ROVERS (A)

When: Friday, April 7, 3pm

Reverse fixture: Norwich City 0-2 Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn defeated City 2-0 at Carrow Road as Dean Smith's tenure drew to a close, but they're not quite the force they were at that time.

Similarly to the Blades, their trajectory has pointed in various directions. Their momentum aslo appears to have slowed in recent weeks, with losses to the aforementioned United and Stoke City in recent times.

With a less testing trip to Birmingham City coming up before Norwich's visit, however, they'll hope to go into the game with some confidence. David Wagner will hope his side don't suffer from the opposite effect after that crunch clash six days earlier.

Prediction: Combining those struggles against superior sides with a difficult trip up north doesn't look appealing for the Canaries, so it's difficult to side with them on this one. 1-0.

ROTHERHAM (H)

When: Monday, April 10, 3pm

Reverse fixture: Rotherham United 1-2 Norwich City

This feels like a vitally winnable fixture for City, with the tough previous games increasing the pressure on them to produce.

The Millers are fighting well against the drop, with four points and a game in hand separating them and 22nd-placed Huddersfield.

Former loanee Jacob Ramsey was the difference the last time the teams met, so the Norfolk side will have to find a new way through.

Prediction: Norwich should have enough to beat Rotherham, although the Yorkshire side will put up a good fight. 2-0

MIDDLESBROUGH (A)

When: Friday, April 14, 8pm

Reverse fixture: Norwich City 1-2 Middlesbrough

After some brief respite it's straight back to underdog status for City, as they travel to the Riverside to face Middlesbrough midway through April.

The Teessiders have performed consistently well since Michael Carrick's appointment as head coach, with their 2-1 win at Carrow Road one of his first games in charge.

Chuba Akpom is an attacking force unmatched in the Championship at present, and the former Manchester United midfielder is getting the best out of their most experienced operators.

Former Norwich head of recruitment Kieran Scott's status as Boro's head of football adds another level of intrigue to the match, as Norwich pitch up in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Prediction: If City perform at their best this will be a close one, but it's a game the hosts will feel they should win. 2-1

QUEENS PARK RANGERS (A)

When: Wednesday, April 19, 7:45pm

Reverse fixture: Norwich City 0-0 QPR

It's back-to-back away game for City as they head to the capital following that trip north-east.

In West London they face QPR, who started the season very well under Mick Beale but have collapsed since his departure for Glasgow Rangers.

At present they find themselves fighting relegation, and although they'll hope to be rid of those worries by the time they face the Canaries, Gareth Ainsworth's side certainly won't be competing at the top end of the second division.

That makes this a must-win for Norwich at such a late stage of the season, and Wagner will know as much. Whether his players can withstand the pressure that comes this close to the end of the term could well decide who wins the points.

Prediction: Another one Norwich will hope to win, but QPR managed to frustrate them earlier in the season and it'll be an exhausting few days. With the added motivation of the play-off place they so desire, however, they may just edge it. 1-2

SWANSEA CITY (H)

When: Saturday, April 22, 3pm

Reverse fixture: Swansea City 0-1 Norwich City

Russell Martin's Swansea arrive at Carrow Road in Norwich's penultimate home game of the season, and it looks likely to mean more to the Norfolk side than the Swans.

After briefly flirting with a play-off place around the turn of the year, the latter have fallen back into the mid-table position they've found themselves in regularly since Martin's arrival.

Whether that could provide them with the freedom to express themselves in NR1 could be a worry for Norwich fans, who will hope that quality tells.

Prediction: This feels like a match that should be as straightforward as is possible in the Championship. There will be resistance from Swansea, but Norwich should have enough to take three points. 3-1

WEST BROM (A)

When: Saturday, April 29, 3pm

Reverse fixture: Norwich City 1-1 West Brom

West Bromwich Albion won't make it easy for City when they travel to the Hawthorns on April 29.

They've picked up enormously since Carlos Corberan's arrival in the West Midlands, after Steve Bruce struggled to turn performances into results early in the season.

The Baggies are hoping for a late play-off push in the same way the Canaries are. They're currently ninth in the table and two points behind their yellow and green counterparts, but with a game in hand they certainly retain a chance.

Depending on both teams' form between now and this clash, it could be a huge one.

Prediction: Going away to a good West Brom side, it's tough to claim that the result will be a good one for City. 2-0

BLACKPOOL (H)

When: Monday, May 8, 3pm

Reverse fixture: Blackpool 0-1 Norwich City

Rounding things off is a visit from Mick McCarthy's relegation-battling Tangerines on the final day of the season.

It could be a day of elation for City fans as they embark on the play-off adventure, or it could be a bitterly disappointing blow at the end of an underwhelming campaign.

Blackpool will be happy to spoil the party, but the Canaries will be confident about the level of opposition they face in what could be the decider.

Prediction: In spite of the high stakes, Norwich should have the requisite quality to beat Blackpool on what could be an important day for them. 3-0
