David Wagner previewed Norwich City’s Championship return at home to Sheffield United - and we had all the key lines first direct from Colney.

City resume their play-off quest with a tough Carrow Road assignment against the second-placed Blades, and FA Cup semi-finalists.

Norwich picked up two points from their three league games prior to the international period.

Wagner indicated all his international contingent had returned fit and healthy. The whole group are scheduled to train for the first time later on Friday.

Adam Idah featured in the Republic of Ireland's Euro2024 1-0 home defeat to France on Monday after a foot injury that kept him out at Stoke.

Wagner confirmed wing duo Onel Hernandez (ankle) and Jon Rowe (hamstring) will not be back until after the Easter period. Neither require surgery.

Sam Byram was pictured taking part in the club's first team training video earlier in the week. Wagner confirmed he had been involved in some of the sessions since Monday, but will need a few weeks to be a viable first team starting option.

Newcastle loanee Isaac Hayden was also seen in that footage. Wagner revealed he is back in light training and 'hopefully' an option for the run in. The midfielder underwent further knee surgery at the start of this year. City had no option to terminate the loan in January.

Hayden was included in the club's updated Championship squad list following the close of the January transfer window.

Kieran Dowell is out until the second half of April with a knee ligament injury suffered against Birmingham City.

Przemyslaw Placheta (shin) is a longer term absentee.
