Teemu Pukki is ready for his 'final adventure' in football as the curtains prepare to fall on his Norwich City career.

The Finnish international will play his final game for the Canaries on Monday against Blackpool at Carrow Road after a hugely successful five years in Norfolk since joining the club in 2018.

Pukki has elected against signing a new deal with Norwich and is now on the hunt for what he says will be his final step in football ahead of a return to Finland to enjoy his retirement.

The 33-year-old has scored 88 goals in 209 games since signing for City on a free transfer from Danish side Brondby.

He has won two Championship titles, claimed two Player of the Season awards and become a club legend in the process.

Ahead of a highly emotional day at Carrow Road on Bank Holiday Monday, Pukki joined BBC Radio Norfolk's The Scrimmage and reiterated that his next move could be his last in the game.

"There has been so much I had to do before moving from here," Pukki said. "It will hit me on the last day on Monday and it will be a really emotional day for me. It feels far away even though it's really close so I haven't had time to think about the fact it's over.

"It was a good decision to get the news out because before in the games the fans were still telling me to sign that contract but after it came out, it's been really nice to see all the Norwich fans wishing me good luck for the future and thanking me for the last five years.

"After my football career is over, I'm looking forward to spending time with my family. It's quite hard job to be away every second week from the kids. I just want to be with them more.

"Wherever I go, and I don't know yet, I need to think about how my family will fit in. My kids grew up and went to school here so it will be a change for them as well but they are ready for it.

"They know we will end up in Finland eventually, so they want to see something before it's all snow and cold winters there. I still have two or three years left in me in football. One more adventure somewhere, and we will see where I end up. After that, it will be my time to go home."
