Norwich City are moving closer to sealing the signing of young Bromley winger Kellen Fisher.

Announcement of the signing is expected in short order, with the Canaries interested in Fisher and close to completing a deal, as per reports elsewhere.

The 19-year-old has played primarily as a right midfielder for Bromley, making 25 appearances in the National League as well as playing twice as they were knocked out of the promotion play-offs.

He made his first-team debut at just 17, featuring as the fifth tier side beat Dover Athletic 1-0 in the FA Trophy. He made his full debut in the same competition, playing the full 90 minutes in a penalty shoot-out victory over Tonbridge Angels.

He then spent time on loan with National League South side Welling United before returning to the Greater London club and becoming a first-team regular last term.

Fisher is expected to link up with the club's under-21 side initially, with a number of new additions to their youth ranks expected to be confirmed in short order.

Gabriel Forsyth is another of those, with a deal agreed to take the 16-year-old from Hamilton Academicals this summer.

That move remains subject to a medical and other formalities, however, before it can officially be completed.

Forsyth is highly rated north of the border, and made two substitute appearances in the Scottish Championship during the 2022-23 season. He's also made six appearances for the Scottish under-17 side, scoring once.

The expected flurry of movement in the youth recruitment stakes comes after an active start to the off-season for Norwich.

No further first-team work is expected to be completed in the coming days after Ashley Barnes, Jack Stacey and Shane Duffy all arrived at Carrow Road on free transfers, but the Canaries are interested in Newcastle United winger Ryan Fraser.

The Scot has fallen out of favour at Newcastle United, and it's hoped the Norfolk club can seal a loan deal for him this summer.

Investing in the club's future remains a priority, however, and City will hope their academy recruitment eventually adds to their impressive Colney production line.
