One a blazing hot Sunday May morning, there were still outstanding league issues to be resolved.

In the Premier Division, Schoolhouse signed off with a 5-2 win at Sprowston Wanderers, a result that leaves them waiting to see if it's enough to earn the runners-up spot.

It was also manager Richard Brett's final game as manager. Richard has had a great time at the helm, winning titles as they came through the divisions, with Senior Cup victories at Carrow Road and, last season, the League Cup so he will be a tough act to follow.

Acle Rangers have three games left to play and can still finish second. Their four-goal win at Trimingham Pilgrims means they are still on course, but need to win their remaining games.

Congratulations go to Phoenix who are now officially Division One champions. The Middle Green went into their final game of the season knowing a big win was required to take top or second place. Somebody though, forgot to tell opponents Longdale Rovers as they spoiled any chance Middle Green had by winning 3-1.

In Division Two, Mettingham bowed out of the league with a 3-1 victory over Drayton Dazzlers. It was a fitting tribute to long-time manager, secretary and one-club man Keith Penn, who, after giving 50 years to the club, has decided he needs a well-earned rest.

In Division Three, two goals from Craig Boyles and a Robert Armes strike helped Silver Fox to a 3-0 win at Acle Rangers.

Congratulation to Scole United who took the Under 19 title after putting 10 goals (Kieran Manning 3, Luke Gould 2, Lawrence Brown, Joshua Goodwin, Bradley Hunt, Josh Lucraft) past Mulbarton Wanderers. Scole have gone throughout the season unbeaten in the league and have drawn only three games. Long Stratton confirmed runners-up position after beating nearest challengers St Andrews 3-1 thanks to goals from James Bemrose, Wayne Bemrose and Owen Woodhouse.

This Friday Acle Rangers and Hewett Old Boys face each other in the League Cup final at the FDC (7.30pm). Prices £3 adults, £2 concessions.
