Sunday morning weather more akin to November than September greeted players when they took the field on the return to league action following the County Cup matches.

Reigning champions Riverside Rovers are a point behind after beating Farmhouse 3-0, whilst Phoenix are in third spot after winning 2-1 at Hewett OBs. The Middle Green gained their first points of the season as they came from three down to score five (Dom Doggett 2, Adam Brown 2, James Hyde) of the nine goals in the game at Horsford FC. Shaun Plant hit a hat-trick for the home side.

It's four from four now for Division One leaders Woolpack after they hit seven against Windmill Wanderers and Mischief also kept up their perfect start by scoring six at Hethersett Athletic. Drayton Dazzlers also have maximum points from three games courtesy of a 5-3 home win over Aslacton, whilst Marlborough won by the odd goal in seven against Vale Longo. Brooke Reserves' steady start continued as they took a point in a 2-2 draw with Norman Wanderers.

Silver Fox seem to be scoring goals for fun – after hitting a dozen last week, the Division Two leaders followed by scoring 11n in winning at Acle Rangers Reserves. Hempnall moved up to second when winning 3-1 (Billy Kelly 2, James Youngs) at Newsman Celtic, whilst morning leaders MC Rovers dropped to third as they drew 3-3 with AFC Norwich. There was a treble for Pat Hudson as Bungay Town scored nine at East Tuddenham and there was a double for Dan Stobbart as FC Viking won at Norman Wanderers A for whom Ben Atkins scored. DCS Rapid collected their first win of the season, as they beat Hethersett Ath Res thanks to goals by Tom Daynes and Jorge Strowger.

Watton United's good start continued in Division Three when they beat Eaton Park Corinthians 4-2 and they head the table on goal difference from Eaton FC, who were 6-1 (Daniel Hawkie 3, Jack Roberts 2, Troy Tobias) victors at Sporting Iceni. Aylsham ran into double figures with Tobias Oliver scoring five and Owen Collier four as they thumped Cellar House and Easton scored five (Devin Blundell 3, Ricky Bevis, Jamie Wright) without reply at FC Viking Reserves. There was a close game at Nelsons Athletic were the visitors Rackheath Rangers took the points in a 4-3 win.

Salhouse Rovers seem to be enjoying life in Division Four. They continue to lead the way after a 4-2 win at Mulbarton Wanderers and are four points clear of Holt United, who beat Felthorpe 5-3.

Charlie Lambe hit three as Moose Park Rangers beat Earsham 4-3 and Long Stratton won their South Norfolk battle against Bunwell AFC by the same score. Home striker James Bemrose hit a hat trick whilst George Hilton was also on target. There was another three points for Cringleford as they won 2-1 (Michael Crosby, Alex Jelves-Sutton) at home to Hellesdon and Cherry Tree are up and running as they gained three points after beating Yelverton 3-2.
