Lynn have been warned that they should not consider their job to be half done if they come away from Worksop having earned a replay.

The Nottinghamshire club's president and secretary Keith Ilett says the Tigers have been playing their best football away from Babbage Way – although they saved their most outstanding performance so far this term for the home replay against Chester in the last round.

Illet said: 'Our football tends to suit better to playing away because our team is very fast on the break. We've caught a lot of opponents out with the speed we switch from defence to attack. Suddenly we've got four or five players in the box at the other end before they know what's hit them.'

Ilett is full of praise for the job done by manager Simon Clark - who was delighted to have been drawn against one of his old teams.

'He said at the start of the season that the new players he brought in would need eight or nine matches to knit together. After a pretty poor first eight games they turned things round just as he said they would,' said Ilett.

'The key now is to find some consistency. The performance in the replay against Chester, who are a pretty decent side, was the best I've ever seen from a Worksop team. If we could play like that every week we'd have no trouble winning our league and probably wouldn't have a problem with Lynn. But the big word there is 'if'.'

One aspect of Babbage Way which Ilett is confident will find approval from Lynn is the playing surface – a grass pitch backed by woven fibres which he proudly claims to be 'as good as anything you'll find at this level.'

He added: 'If Lynn like to play football it will suit them. It should be a good game. It might even be 4-3 one way or the other because we're the second top scorers in our league but we sometimes struggle to keep them out.'
