Another product of the Norwich City Academy, Michael Spillane has the ability to operate in defence or midfield. After impressing during his first season as an Academy scholar he was swiftly rewarded with a three-year professional contract.

Strong in the tackle and confident on the ball, Michael has been handed opportunities by a number of former managers but has been unable to make a City first team shirt his own. He excelled during a season-long loan with Luton Town last season and tasted Wembley glory as the Hatters' lifted the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

A regular international for the Republic of Ireland at youth level he was voted their player of the year at under-19 level in March 2009. Michael returned to Carrow Road in the summer and put pen to paper on a new two-year contract.
