Norwich City midfielder Tom Adeyemi has joined League Two club Bradford City on a six-month loan.

The 18-year-old made 17 first team appearances for City last season but Paul Lambert has signed three new midfielders during the close season and his senior opportunities may be limited.

Bantams boss Peter Taylor was delighted to win the chase for Adeyemi's signature.

He said: "There were a lorry-load of teams who wanted him so we're very lucky. He is a real player.

"The size of Bradford City has certainly helped because it will give Tom the chance to get used to handling big crowds which is what he'll expect playing for Norwich."

The absence of Jens Berthel Askou, Matthew Gill and Owain Tudur Jones from City's training camp in Germany also raises questions about their Carrow Road future, according to ex-Canary Iwan Roberts.

“It doesn't bode well for them really,” said Roberts in a radio interview yesterday.

“For them to have been left out of the trip to Germany would say they are not really in the manager's plans.”

Meanwhile, Newcastle boss Chris Hughton has admitted he is considering keeping goalkeeper Fraser Forster next season after a return to Norwich failed to materialise.

“One of the things which we are considering at the moment is whether we should allow Tim Krul out on loan next season and keep Fraser here,” said Hughton.
