Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes is wary of the threat posed by Norwich City ahead of the Foxes trip to Carrow Road on Friday.

The England under-21 international is hoping to pile more misery on Daniel Farke's bottom placed side as they look to continue their push for Champions League qualification.

Barnes has featured 24 times for Brendan Rodgers men this season and has netted in three of the last five Premier League games. The Foxes are without victory in their last four games in all competitions and arrive at Carrow Road on the back of a 1-0 defeat to current champions Manchester City.

City will be looking to reduce the gap to safety to four points with a victory and, despite their position in the league table, Barnes is conscious of the threat the Canaries can pose on their day.

"We'll be going there full of confidence. We know it's not going to be an easy game.

"Obviously, they're in a tough situation at the minute, so they're going to be full of fight and they'll be looking to put up a tough test.

"I think for us, we're looking to take the game to them and hopefully, with the performance, we can get the result.

"You saw (Norwich's quality) when they played Man City. They turned them around in a surprise result, so they're more than capable of doing that on their day.

"It'll be something that we're wary of, but we've got to focus on our own game and make sure that, on the back of a disappointing defeat against Manchester City, we bounce back strong."

City performed amicably in the reverse fixture at the King Power Stadium in December but Barnes is hoping the Foxes can respond to their dip in form.

"The next few games are going to be very important," Barnes admitted. "Obviously, with the games we've got left, we're going to be looking to pick up as many points as we can," Barnes told the club's official website.

"We obviously want to finish as strongly as we can and finish as high as we can in the table, so the next few games are very important for that. Hopefully, it can be the start to a very good run.

"Norwich is going to be tough, as we've already said, but for us, we want to win every game. We want to get as many points as we can for the season and finish as high as we can."
