Boothroyd odds-on favourite for job

Former City academy coach Aidy Boothroyd is the odds-on favourite with the bookies to take over as Norwich City manager after Glenn Roeder's sacking. Boothroyd, out of work after his departure from Watford, went from 5-2 favourite with Sky Bet yesterday to 8-11 overnight, though Ladbrokes are favouring Mark Robins.

Former City academy coach Aidy Boothroyd is the odds-on favourite with the bookies to take over as Norwich City manager after Glenn Roeder's sacking.

Boothroyd, out of work after his departure from Watford, went from 5-2 favourite with Sky Bet yesterday to 8-11 overnight, though Ladbrokes are favouring Mark Robins.

According to Sky Bet, former Blackburn manager Paul Ince is 5-1 to make a swift return to management with Norwich with Robins 9-1 and Iain Dowie 10-1 for the job, which would be his third managerial post in the last 12 months.

Sky Bet odds: Aidy Boothroyd 8-11, Paul Ince 5-1, Mark Robins 9-1, Paul Jewell, Steve Cotterill, Alan Pardew, Iain Dowie 10-1, Ian Holloway, Malky Mackay 11-1, Lawrie Sanchez 12-1, Gary McAllister 16-1, Glenn Hoddle, Dion Dublin, David O'Leary 20-1, Dean Saunders 25-1.

Former City striker Robins is the favourite with Ladbrokes.

Robins is 9-2 with Boothroyd 6-1 and ex-Leicester and QPR boss Holloway 7-1.

Pardew, Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson and McAllister come in at 8-1 and former City full-back Mark Bowen at 9-1.
