Daniel Farke previewed Norwich City’s Premier League trip to Aston Villa on Boxing Day - and we had all the key lines first from Colney.

It was more of the same from Farke's side last time out against Wolves. Plenty of promise but ultimately frustration in the same manner Sheffield United triumphed previously on home soil.

City have now taken just one point from six home games but Aston Villa sit only one place and three points above them in the table in what looks a crunch festive clash at Villa Park on Boxing Day.

Farke confirmed he had no fresh injury concerns from the personnel who featured on Saturday. Grant Hanley played the full 90 minutes on his comeback from long term groin and hernia issues. But Hanley will be needed again with Ben Godfrey (knee) and Timm Klose (knee) sidelined.

Josip Drmic (hamstring) is out until the New Year but back in light training.

Dean Smith's side have their own injury headaches to contend with. Key midfielder John McGinn is out for possibly three months after fracturing his ankle in Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to Southampton. England international Tyrone Mings (hamstring) is again expected to miss out.
