Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries' 2-0 Premier League defeat to Brighton

Here is Paddy's verdict on Daniel Farke's men, who were second best again on the south-coast in the latest of a worryingly consistent seam of defeats.

- Tim Krul

Another excessively busy Premier League shift. Pick of the bunch arguably the stop with his outstretched right leg to foil Steven Alzate. Time for team mates to get to his performance level. 8

- Max Aarons

Looked more circumspect going forward this weekend after his positional error against Manchester United. Nasty challenge from Neal Maupay that led to a VAR review. 6

- Alex Tettey

Eventful in an emergency shift. One decent block from Maupay. A total mis-read of the flight of the ball that went unpunished by the same player, and a flying miscued headed clearance that landed on the roof of his own net all in a frenetic first half. 6

- Ben Godfrey

Fearless interception to head clear inside his own six yard box with no thought to his own personal safety thereafter. But Leandro Trossard's near post movement too sharp for the opening goal. 6

- Jamal Lewis

Struggled to stem the Brighton supply line. Perhaps may feel there was limited protection from Onel Hernandez in front. Got away with a slack first half turnover. Failed to cut out the cross for the first goal. 6

- Tom Trybull

Davy Propper was too cute on a couple of occasions. Still looks like a player on the comeback trail. 6

- Emi Buendia

Frustration all round. Both for the Argentinian and those City fans expecting more end product. Numerous promising darts petered out but also a couple of sweet passes that deserved better. 6

- Kenny McLean

Dogged and covered plenty of territory. Offering little as an attacking support to Teemu Pukki. 6

- Marco Stiepermann

Desperately unlucky with curling effort that cannoned against the bar. More prominent than in some top flight outings this season. 6

- Onel Hernandez

Admirable stamina to last the full 90 minutes after the birth of his child on the eve of the game. Bright early on. Inevitably faded. 6

- Teemu Pukki

Dropped deeper and deeper looking for meaningful action. Needs better service and more support. Time for others to grasp the goalscoring burden. 6

City substitutes

- Josip Drmic 5

Took too long to pull the trigger when clean through late on.

(for Marco Stiepermann, 75)

- Todd Cantwell n/a

(for Tom Trybull, 84)

- Dennis Srbeny n/a

(for Alex Tettey, 84)
