Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries’ 2-0 Premier League defeat against Burnley

Here is Paddy’s verdict on Daniel Farke’s men, who contrived to undo a bright opening quarter with a game-changing double red card.

• Tim Krul

Fine one-handed tip over from Dwight McNeil’s free kick that brushed Onel Hernandez to change direction. Smothering stop from Jay Rodriguez. Beaten by two shinners. 7

• Max Aarons

Roughed up by James Tarkowski. Appeared to lose the flight of the ball hooked home by Chris Wood. 5

• Ben Godfrey

Own goal was not in keeping with his all-round offering. Brought a big save from Nick Pope at the other end. His best, most aggressive defensive outing since football returned. 6

• Timm Klose

Suspected hamstring injury forced a half-time exit. Must already be a doubt for Manchester City finale. 5

• Jamal Lewis

Largely kept Johann Berg Gudmundsson under wraps. Bar the cross for Wood’s fortunate overhead kick from the second phase of a set piece. 5

• Alex Tettey (C)

Goalbound shot struck Tarkowski. Had an opportunity to clear his lines in the moments prior to Wood’s opener. 6

• Kenny McLean

Glowing tribute pre-match from his head coach. Could see his value in terms of defensive workload when Norwich were reduced to nine players. 6

• Emi Buendia

Let Ashley Westwood get under his skin. Needless red card. However soft. 4

• Todd Cantwell

Got a start in the 10 role. Shot on target inside the opening seconds but a double red card scuppered his chances to be the creative pivot. 5

• Onel Hernandez

Pope contorted his body to parry a late effort. 6

• Josip Drmic

Brainless. Lunging challenge to recover a poor touch earned a straight red, and compounded Emi Buendia’s earlier dismissal. 3

City substitutes

• Christoph Zimmermann 5

Pressed into action earlier than planned. Lost Rodriguez for a headed chance.

(for Timm Klose, 45)
