Krul injury fears. VAR controversy. Amadou and Buendia updates - Farke’s United post-match transcript

Daniel Farke revealed Tim Krul is set for scans on a knee injury after his heroics in Norwich City’s 3-1 Premier League defeat to Manchester United at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.
Krul made two first half penalty stops and denied Anthony Martial with a world class point blank save but felt some pain in the knee he suffered a previous long term ACL injury at Newcastle in the closing stages.
Ibrahim Amadou (knee) and Emi Buendia (shin) were also passengers in the final moments while Jamal Lewis went off with a suspected virus in a game where the video assistant referee system awarded the Reds two first half penalties.
Farke's post-match transcript on the key talking points..
On Krul's display and injury fears
Tim is great. Great character, great leader and a big personality but he has over-stretched his knee. We have to wait for the assessment on Monday. I hope it is not too bad. He was concerned because it was the same knee he had the ACL damage earlier in his career.
We do not need any more injuries but let's wait and see what the doctor says. I am pretty, pretty concerned about the injury because he is one of our leaders. I am not sure when it happened. He was panicking a bit because he has this ACL experience.
I can't confirm which situation it was, whether it was the dive for the third goal. It looks a bit better after the game than during but it is too early. The first impression is that it might just be an over-stretch.
On walking wounded
Ibrahim also over-stretched his knee and felt some pain. We had more or less 10 lads at the end and it says everything about his character he wanted to stay on the pitch. He couldn't really run but tried to win a header or two.
Jamal came in at half-time and said he felt unbelievably poorly. The doctor has just told me he has a very high temperature so I don't know what has happened with his body. Maybe a virus or an infection or illness.
On Emi there was a hit, a lot of blood on the shin. Like Ibrahim he was hobbling around at the end but again great character. We also need our experienced centre backs as well.
On VAR incidents
Quite obviously a mistake on the first penalty. The referee didn't give a penalty and then two or three minutes for VAR to check. It is only supposed to be over-ruled if there is a clear and obvious mistake.
When you watch it back it's quite obvious there is more of a foul against my centre back. If you want to over-rule it should be a free kick for us. I am not happy about that. It is not good for our confidence.
I don't want to blame VAR for our loss. VAR was not responsible for this loss. It was not one of the best days of VAR. That is more a topic for other people.
We have to say it is difficult to cause a big surprise on a weekly basis. We could produce a sensation against Manchester City but it is not easy against the best teams in the world. We have to learn a lesson in that first half.
We were not physical enough. My players always invest everything and we showed character in the second half but we were not good enough in the first half. If you are not there and everything is not top class you have no chance as a newly promoted side.
There were a few things I was not happy with in the first half.
