Norwich City's joint majority shareholders Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones will enjoy the Canaries' unexpected Championship promotion success.
Head coach Daniel Farke was quick to praise the bravery of the club's owners for embarking on a bold new direction, after plotting a 2-1 win over Blackburn on Saturday night to confirm a place in the Premier League.
Sporting director Stuart Webber added his voice to the praise for the duo when he spoke to the media, but also highlighted the discontent at times last season directed towards the pair.
Webber was brought in to oversee a radical overhaul in 2017 that has paid off in fine style.
“The most important thing, and I really believe this, that sums up what has happened since Daniel and Stuart came here - with Stuart being the architect of course to appoint Daniel - is humility,” said Smith. “Just getting on with the job and not getting sucked into the wrong areas.
“Being a team behind the scenes as well as on the pitch. A good manager needs a good club behind him and a good club needs a good manager. It is a two way thing.”
Wynn Jones ranked City's triumph alongside any in his 25-year association with the club at board level.
“It has been incredible,” he said.
“The last 25 years, since we have been on the board, we have literally seen everything. From losing at Cardiff in the play-off final, to winning at Wembley and now this. I think this caps the lot.”
City's figureheads insist the fundamentals must stay the same in the big league.
“The next chapter, hopefully, will be the same as this one. Nothing will change,” said Smith, speaking to Sky Sports after the game as the celebrations were in full swing. “We will go on with our heads down, working hard, not getting carried away.
“That is what has got us through the last two years and what will get us through the next year.
“It is unbelievable. It is all smiles, and tears, all in one go. We are so happy. It is in our blood. We just love it. We know it's hard, we know it's going to be difficult. We know there will be highs and lows but it is a beautiful game.”
