Canaries’ head coach Daniel Farke feels there could be a final twist to City’s summer trading - with potentially two out and two in.

City have done the bulk of their business, with the headline departures of James Maddison and Josh Murphy followed by a number of new arrivals including the likes of Emi Buendia, Teemu Pukki, Ben Marshall, Jordan Rhodes and Felix Passlack on loan from Sheffield Wednesday and Borussia Dortmund respectively, plus the return of Kenny McLean to his parent club.

Farke would love one or two more additions but also expects departures. Nelson Oliveira’s future remains a hot topic given his absence from the club’s German tour while the head coach confirmed earlier in the tour Russell Martin is free to secure a loan move.

“I wouldn’t say there is a line under this transfer window,” said Farke, speaking the club’s Youtube channel. “It could be there are one or two clubs interested in players who are part of our group and one or two leave us in the near future.

“It could also be we have one or two new signings but the most business is done.

“Especially this pretty early in the pre-season it is important all the new players can settle in and adapt to our way of playing and the group.

“If we are able to be there with one or two details to strengthen the squad further then that would be perfect but there is not a big pressure on the squad. I am totally pleased with our group at the moment.

“In personal terms we have signed some outstanding characters. They are easily integrated into our group. At this moment we are also there with a really, really good togetherness. A lot of business is done. There is always interest in football and sometimes crazy things happen.”
