Norwich City is NOT in advanced talks with Crystal Palace to sell Jamal Lewis.
The Eagles were reported to be 'closing in' on the signing of the left-back ahead of Friday's 11pm transfer window deadline.
Football Insider claimed earlier on Monday talks were even at an 'advanced stage' and Lewis was open to the idea after losing his place in City's Premier League line up to Sam Byram.
But that is believed to be wide of the mark, with no discussions on going regarding a surprise exit for Lewis to the Canaries' Premier League rivals.
The Northern Ireland international played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup fourth round win at Burnley, and City head coach Daniel Farke reiterated after the game he did not expect any departures in the closing days of the window.
The Canaries' transfer stance remains unchanged.
Farke has stated consistently the club is under no financial pressure to sell any of their best young talent in January.
Talks do continue to bring in Luxembourg international attacker Danel Sinani, although the prolific 22-year-old is earmarked as one for the future by the Carrow Road top brass.
Hertha Berlin loanee Ondrej Duda and Lukas Rupp have arrived from Germany to bolster the club's Premier League survival push, with Farke making it clear prior to the recent home win over Bournemouth the versatile Rupp would provide cover in the full back areas.
Lewis, Byram and Max Aarons are the only senior options available to Farke, after the likes of Philip Heise and James Husband were allowed to depart earlier in the season.
The 22-year-old Lewis is under contract at Carrow Road until 2023 and had emerged as a key figure for club and country since his first team breakthrough in Farke's debut season with the Canaries.
Palace have been linked with defensive reinforcements in that area of the pitch ahead of Friday's deadline with first choice Patrick van Aanholt touted with a late move to PSV Eindhoven.
