Kieran Dowell hopes some of that Daniel Farke magic can help him reach his full potential at Norwich City, after sealing a permanent move from Everton.

The attacking midfielder was unveiled on Thursday after signing a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Dowell admitted the chance to work with a coach who has blooded the likes of Max Aarons, Jamal Lewis, Ben Godfrey and Todd Cantwell was too good to turn down.

The 22-year-old failed to establish himself at Goodison Park but Dowell has a fine pedigree after being part of the England youth set-up that lifted the Under-20 World Cup in 2017.

“You look at the amount of players he has developed and improved and that was a conversation we had,” said Dowell, who spent the past season on loan in the Championship at Derby and Wigan. “I am 22 with still a lot of improvement to fulfil my potential under him.

“I have played against his teams a couple of times.

“They would always dominate the games, keep the ball, possession-based, with good technical players and that is the type of team I want to play in.

“They are coming off the back of a tough season, but I like the way they want to work and how committed they are to doing things in a certain way.

“That might have been the downfall in the Premier League but it is the best way of getting back up, because everyone is on the same page.

“Every time I have come here (to Carrow Road) it has been full.

“That is quite hard to do in the Championship, which is really impressive.

“The atmosphere when they were going for promotion was special.”
