Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool vintage could go down as the best ever for Daniel Farke, but the Norwich City head coach insists they are beatable.

The Canaries host the runaway Premier League leaders on Saturday evening at Carrow Road bidding to become the first top flight team to get the better of the Reds this season.

Farke and his players know the scale of the task but did stun reigning champions Manchester City on home soil.

"The lads are not stupid. They know we face a side who won the Champions League and who finished last season with 90 points in the league," he said. "I can't predict what happens in the Champions League this time around but one thing is for sure, Liverpool will win the league.

"To be there after 25 games, with 24 wins and a draw and to have played the top teams, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham and none of them were able to beat them. Right now you can already say they are one of the best teams in football history.

"There have been teams who dominated the Premier League or in Europe but Liverpool is one of the best.

"In a few years we might sit back and say they were the best of all time. In order to bring the belief into their heads and their hearts it's important to be honest and realistic but we had a similar situation against Manchester City and we were able to win.

"They didn't hit the post 10 times or we got lucky. We deserved to win."

Farke accepts the odds on a shock are slim.

"In football there's always hope. In one game everything can happen," said Farke. "We are not naive. We know in 20 games probably Liverpool win 18 and there's perhaps one draw and one defeat, but we are pretty greedy and focused on this.

"The Manchester City game showed the value of being good on your topics. They came here on the back of something like a 20-game unbeaten run and we managed to beat them. We have the ingredients you need in order to cause problems for the best teams in the world.

"We can dominate for periods even against these teams and if show this we have a chance. There is nothing to lose, only something to win. We are respectful of Liverpool, they are on fire and the best team in the world.

"We need an outstanding performance and to show outstanding spirit."

Norwich need points to boost their own fight for survival.

"It's really a free shot. The following 11 league games are where we have to deliver," said Farke. "We must get enough points to bring ourselves into a position where we can travel to Manchester City for the final game with something to play for.

"Of course it would be great to add a point or three to help us in the relegation battle but it's more like a free shot, and you also want to enjoy this. "Everyone has to be on the top level. Whether you are a player in the starting line up or the bench. We need each and every staff member to be on their best level.

"Even the public announcer in the stadium has to be on their best level to get the crowd going.

"If we are 1pc less in any detail then we have no chance.

"But if you are there with 100pc in each and every detail then we definitely have a chance, and we're looking forward to creating something special again."
