Cardiff City might not be as pleasing on the eye as Norwich City but Neil Warnock would not swap his players.
Kenneth Zohore and Junior Hoilett struck late to complete a Championship double over the Canaries for the promotion-chasing Bluebirds.
That result was all the more valuable after Fulham’s late slip up in a 1-1 draw against Brentford later on Saturday that leaves Warnock’s side a point clear with a game in hand in second place.
“Norwich is a good side and have got some good players, so we knew we had to hang in there,” he said. “I watched them against Aston Villa and they demoralised them. I thought they battered Villa a week or two ago.
“I love coming here. It’s such a great atmosphere, Norwich. It is always a full house and they are so passionate. A family-orientated club. I love Delia. I think she has done well here. I can’t remember winning here before. It is a long time ago. I know that.
“They were always going to have a lot of possession, but I thought we defended really well.
“I couldn’t fault anything, you can see what my team are like, they’ve got big hearts. We might not be technically as good as some of these other teams but it’s not through a lack of effort and that’s what I love about the Championship - you get a group of lads like this who die for you. It makes you feel so proud as a manager.
“Sean Morrison was a 12/10, a colossus.
“I thought we still had the best chances, even in the first half when Norwich played the better stuff.”
