Former Norwich City striker Simeon Jackson will be a free agent in January, after Kilmarnock announced his contract would not be extended.

The 32-year-old joined the Scottish Premiership side in October, on a deal until January, but only went on to make four appearances for Kille, failing to find the back of the net.

The Ayrshire club have confirmed that interim boss Alex Dyer will remain in charge until the end of the season, following the recent sacking of Angeloa Alessio, and also announced Jackson's exit.

The Canada striker scored 21 goals in 86 games for Norwich between 2010 and 2013, after being signed from Gillingham for £750,000, and played a major role in sealing promotion to the Premier League in 2011 - scoring the diving header which sealed promotion at Portsmouth.

He has since played for a succession of clubs, including Coventry, Blackburn and Walsall, but has found goals hard to come by.
