'I have a certain quality. I want to show that in the best league in the world' - Fahrmann reveals City aims

Norwich City's on loan keeper Ralf Fahrmann is determined to prove he is still top of his game with the Premier League new boys after a sour season at boyhood club Schalke 04.
Fahrmann has been brought in to provide competition to Tim Krul on a season long loan ahead of the top flight bow, after appearing to fall out of favour with the Bundesliga club.
The 30-year-old still made 25 appearances last season and featured in the later stages of the Champions League but lost his number one spot to Alexander Nubel at the Royal Blues.
"I was disappointed, of course, because you always want to play and because I wasn't treated professionally - without wanting to go into detail now," he said. "It's clear that the past year wasn't easy for me or the team. Our position in the table (14th) wasn't Schalke worthy.
"I tried to stay calm and professional and to do everything for the club to avoid unnecessary unrest. That's why I held back in public."
Fahrmann, who sat out last week's friendly against his parent club that concluded the Canaries' German tour, is still under contract with Schalke 04 until 2023.
"My wish is to play for Schalke again. Contractually, it is also recorded," he said, in an interview with Sport Bild. "Sure, I made mistakes. I stand by them and will do the same in the future. I'm not someone who blames others. But I have analyzed the past season for myself. According to the statistics, I was always in the top third. That's why I think I have a certain quality.
"I want to show that in the coming season in the best league in the world."
City head coach Daniel Farke is in no doubt about Fahrmann's pedigree.
"He is a pretty experienced guy, an unbelievable character, hard working and a lovely guy," said Farke, after the shot stopper sealed a loan move earlier this month. "As the skipper at Schalke, he knows exactly what is necessary for the group and for spirit and togetherness.
"We are unbelievably careful when we bring in new signings as it's not only about their quality as a player but also about the personality and we all get the feeling that he is a perfect fit to our squad, so we are all delighted."
