Preston North End have denied reports Norwich City have made a £6m bid for Callum Robinson.
Sky Sports News had reported on Saturday morning City have made their move for the Republic of Ireland international, who notched 12 goals and provided three assists for Alex Neil's side in 27 Championship appearances last season.
Preston's official twitter feed, however, wasted little time later on Saturday confirming they have no bids 'on the table' for any of their players.
Robinson is under contract until 2020 and can operate across the frontline, but was used predominantly down the left flank last season.
The 24-year-old featured in the 2-0 Carrow Road league defeat last season but missed the Deepdale return game which was Norwich's only defeat on the run in to promotion.
Robinson started his career at Aston Villa but has spent the past five seasons at Deepdale, although he only completed a free transfer move in 2016 after a series of loan deals.
Norwich have brought in Patrick Roberts on loan from Manchester City for the Premier League campaign while Swiss international Josip Drmic will officially become a Norwich player on July 1.
Daniel Farke's squad return for pre-season training on Monday as they prepare for the big kick off at Liverpool on August 9.
LIKELIHOOD: Proven at Championship level and capable of further improvement. Sounds like the mantra to describe most of Norwich City's squad under Farke but could also equally apply to Robinson. Very decent personal numbers of goals and assists in a Preston side who fell short of the play-offs. At 24, the right age profile and the crucial aspect may be his contractual status at Deepdale.
Should there be no unpublicised options in play then Robinson is entering the final 12 months of his current contract.
The speed Preston took to social media to deny any bids for any players are 'on the table' illustrates they may well have no desire to offload one of their brightest attacking players, but if Robinson is open to potential offers then the North End top brass know they have a depreciating asset.
His versatility across the frontline mirrors the attraction of bringing in a player like Patrick Roberts from Manchester City. Another signal how Farke wants to go about the job at the top end of the park in the Premier League. Ticks many boxes.
