Norwich City is being touted with late transfer window interest in Sevilla pair Joris Gnagnon and Ibrahim Amadou.
The online version of Spanish daily sports newspaper, Estadio Deportivo, report on Sunday night centre back Gnagnon and defensive midfielder Amadou are on the Premier League club's radar.
The media outlet claim City could be open to negotiating a loan move with a view to buy either player, although top flight rivals Burnley are also being touted with Gnagnon.
The 22-year-old made 16 appearances for the Spanish La Liga outfit last season but was forced to make a public apology earlier this summer after a nasty tackle on Liverpool's Yasser Larouci in a friendly played in the US.
Gnagnon, who has also been touted with a return to his native France, is under contract until 2023 but has so far failed to establish himself in the Sevilla starting line up since a reported £12m move from Stade Rennes in 2018.
Amadou arrived from Lille in the same summer and the 26-year-old made 32 appearances last season. Spanish side Getafe have been linked along with clubs in the Bundesliga. Reports in Spain suggest the duo are not part of new boss Julen Lopetegui's plans at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan.
Norwich's pre-season build up has been blighted by injury concerns at centre back. Christoph Zimmermann has been ruled out for the start of the league season after undergoing knee surgery. Ben Godfrey. Grant Hanley and Timm Klose have all missed various warm up games with injuries and Klose was absent on Saturday for the final friendly against Toulouse to rest a hip flexor issue.
Head coach Daniel Farke did indicate after the Carrow Road game he expected the Swiss international to return to team training ahead of the opening night trip to Liverpool. Farke also made it clear on Friday there would be no late splurge in the final days of the window although reiterated the Canaries would be in a position to act if the right player became available within their financial remit.
City have until 5pm on Thursday to make any new signings ahead of the Premier League kick off at Anfield the following night.
