Timm Klose will not be short of offers this summer if he cuts his ties with Norwich City, after Turkish giants Fenerbahçe were the latest club linked to the centre back.

Glasgow Rangers were recently touted with an interest in the Swiss international, who is entering the final weeks of his current Carrow Road deal.

Now Turkey's biggest sports web site, FotoMac, report on Tuesday morning Fenerbahçe are in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer and free agent Klose is on their target list.

Former Liverpool stalwart Martin Skrtel is set to leave the Istanbul club at the end of the season and Fenerbahçe are looking to replace the Slovakian.

Klose's representative, and former City player, Gaetano Giallanza, already has good links with the Turkish club's sporting director, Damien Comolli, with fellow Swiss player Michael Frey part of the current squad at the 19-time league winners.

Norwich head coach Daniel Farke was keen to keep Klose this time last summer, after blocking a potential return to Germany, and Klose's experience and leadership off the pitch has proved crucial in the club's Championship promotion success.

The popular centre back has made 31 league appearances this campaign but found limited opportunities over the run in, with Christoph Zimmermann and Ben Godfrey emerging as the first choice central defensive pairing.

City remain in contract talks with Klose, who joined the club from Wolfsburg in January 2016.

Klose's representative would not be doing his job if he had not tested the water and sounded out possible interest over recent months.

City's league status has now been confirmed for next season, which should strengthen Norwich City's hand and financial clout in any on going negotiations.

The defender was originally bought to push City on in the Premier League and the prospect of another crack at the top flight might prove tempting.

But the 30-year-old would naturally expect more game time at this stage of his career.
