Norwich City are reportedly in a three-way Premier League tussle for Le Havre’s sharpshooter Tino Kadewere.
The 24-year-old is top scorer in the French second tier with 17 goals and four assists in 19 appearances this season.
That has alerted City, along with top flight relegation rivals Watford and Aston Villa, according to French regional daily newspaper Paris Normandie.
Scouts from across Europe and further afield have watched the prolific Zimbabwe international this season. Kadewere has reportedly rejected overtures from the Middle East but is open to a move to England.
The frontman is under contract until 2022, and the French media outlet claim Le Havre's president made it clear before the winter break any proposed deal would need to include a loan back option for the rest of the current season.
Le Havre have reportedly yet to receive any 'concrete' offers for their prized asset.
City continue to be linked with strikers in the January window, but sporting director Stuart Webber outlined ahead of the festive games any new signings this month will have to factor in the possibility City could be back in the Football League come August.
Teenage striker Adam Idah deputised for injured main man Teemu Pukki in the FA Cup at Preston but Josip Drmic (hamstring) is still sidelined while Dennis Srbeny is believed to be in advanced talks over a return to former club SC Paderborn.
