It was a frustrating evening for Norwich City loanee Philip Heise as he was taken off at half-time of Nuernberg’s 2-2 draw at Jahn Regensburg in Bundesliga Two last night.

The 28-year-old was restored to the starting line-up but reports in Germany suggest his sloppy loss of possession in the lead up to the hosts’ equaliser late in the first half had annoyed coach Jens Keller.

Heise was also accused of a similar concession after coming on in the 79th minute against St Pauli in his loan side’s first match of Germany’s resumption earlier this month, with Nuernberg already down to 10 men during that 1-0 away loss.

He remained on the bench for a 1-1 home draw with Erzgebirge Aue on Friday but started on the left wing on Tuesday night, as the visitors were thankful to a late own goal earning them a point.

Nuernberg are only three points clear of the relegation zone and just above the survival play-off position with six games of their season remaining.
