Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean won his 11th cap as Scotland beat Czech Republic in the Nations League this evening.

McLean returned to Scotland’s starting XI after remaining on the bench during a 1-1 home draw with Israel in Group B2 on Friday.

The 28-year-old’s pass was intercepted as hosts Czech Republic broke quickly to take the lead in the 12th minute but the Scots fought back to win 2-1, thanks to an equaliser from QPR new boy Lyndon Dykes before the break and a penalty from Ryan Christie in the 53rd minute.

McLean - who recently signed a new contract with Norwich to extend his terms until 2023 - played the full match but the Scots had former Canaries keeper David Marshall to thank for a succession of fine saves as they held on for the win.

Elsewhere, City keeper Tim Krul was an unused substitute again as Holland lost 1-0 at home to Italy.

Valencia’s Jasper Cillesen kept hold of the gloves during the international break, as Krul returned to the Dutch squad for the first time since suffering a serious knee injury in October 2015.

Michael McGovern was also an unused substitute as Northern Ireland were thrashed 5-1 by Norway in Belfast - with Canaries left-back Jamal Lewis missing the game to have a medical at Newcastle ahead of a possible transfer worth an initial £15million.
