Norwich City striker Adam Idah has retained his place in Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland squad.
The 19-year-old made his senior debut for his country in their 1-1 draw against Bulgaria at the beginning of this month - with new Ireland boss Stephen Kenny throwing him into the starting XI in his first game in charge.
Idah went onto start again against Teemu Pukki’s Finland just three days later - a game that ended in a 1-0 defeat.
Ireland are preparing for a crunch Euro 2020 playoff semi-final against Slovakia next Thursday in Bratislava.
Kenny will gather his troops in Dublin on Sunday and train at the FAI’s National Training Centre in Abbotstown before flying to Slovakia on Tuesday.
Former City winger Robbie Brady has also been named in the squad - but Idah has been preferred to Southampton forward Michael Obafemi.
Ireland will also face Wales (Sunday, October 11) and Finland (Wednesday, October 14) in the Nations League during the upcoming international hiatus.
