World Cup defender Danny Mills has been spotted in Norwich - but his agent today rejected talk of an imminent return to Carrow Road. With City boss Peter Grant scanning the loan market in a bid to bolster his injury-hit squad before Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship trip to West Bromwich Albion, the 29-year-old former England full-back, currently on loan to Hull from Manchester City, has been among the names mentioned by fans as a possible target.

But while ex-Canary Mills was back in the city last week, his agent Neil Featherby - with whom Mills is also a partner in Sportlink sports business at Drayton - said it purely business.

“We had a couple of meetings last week,” said Featherby. “But no one has approached me from Norwich.

“Danny's still on loan at Hull and things have gone very well there. Phil Parkinson is pushing to take Danny for a third month.”

Mills, whose home is in Yorkshire, joined the Tigers in September on a two-month loan after a spell on the sidelines because of injury and a lack of opportunities under Blues boss Stuart Pearce. He has earned good reports although he was suspended for Saturday's 0-0 draw at Southampton.

“There has been interest from a number of Championship clubs, including two big clubs, since Danny started playing again, but I haven't spoken to Norwich,” said Featherby.

Mills' future with Manchester City when the current loan runs out is also unclear.

Hull, visitors for Norwich's next home game on November 25, have two more ex-Canaries in their current squad. Winger Dean Marney, on loan at Carrow Road last season, was Parkinson's first signing from Spurs, while midfielder Jason Jarrett is on loan at the KC Stadium from Preston.
