Dublin has been offered a new one-year contract by City boss Peter Grant, but the 38-year-old is yet to make his mind up on the deal with questions over whether he is prepared to continue to commute from his Midlands home uppermost in his mind.

DD was at the play-off semi-final second leg match between Derby and Southampton at Pride Park on Tuesday night and sources in the Midlands say the Canaries' player of the season runner up was still mulling over the idea of staying on another year.

“He still hadn't made up his mind. He said he had a great time at Norwich and if he was going to carry on playing then it would be at Norwich,” a source revealed.

Apparently, Dublin is also a very keen saxophonist and is a member of a band and keen on pursuing a career in the music industry once he does hang up his boots.

Dublin notched seven goals in 38 appearances on his return to the club where he began his illustrious career as a trainee in 1988. The versatile veteran underlined his value with a series of sterling defensive cameos over the Championship run when Grant faced a mounting central defensive injury crisis.

Dublin (below) signed off with a goal in the 3-2 Championship defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, but his post match salute to City's travelling support suggested he had made his last appearance for the club.
