Ian Henderson will be sidelined for eight weeks after suffering knee ligament damage in Tuesday night's Carling Cup win at Rotherham.

Henderson was stretchered off at Millmoor following a challenge by Rotherham's Michael Keane and the 21-year-old has had scans to assess the extent of the injury.

“We're looking at around eight weeks,” said manager Nigel Worthington today, confirming that there was ligament damage - but that it should not need surgery.

Worthington also revealed that skipper Adam Drury will be out for two to three weeks after undergoing a “tidy-up” operation on his ankle yesterday morning.

Drury missed the 1-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday with a swollen ankle, with on-loan Everton full-back Patrick Boyle deputising.

Meanwhile, winger Lee Croft is expected to be fit for Saturday's long trek to Plymouth Argyle after recovering from a thigh strain.

Goalkeeper Joe Lewis will resume training on Monday after suffering a fractured cheekbone in a reserve fixture against Leyton Orient last month.
