All is well between City manager Bryan Gunn and midfielder Wes Hoolahan.

The midfielder has apologised to Gunn after his public show of dissent when he was substituted just past the hour mark at Doncaster on Friday.

The Republic of Ireland international shrugged off Gunn's attempt at a handshake as he headed for the dug-out, but by the time the team were walking off after the final whistle he had apologised - and did it again in front of his team-mates in the dressing room.

"Wes' reaction wasn't bad," said Gunn.

"He was disappointed. I know Wesley is passionate - nothing wrong with that. He apologised twice coming off the pitch at the end.

"He realised that a simple handshake would have done it, but he realised and he apologised when he got off the pitch at the end of the game and he apologised in the dressing room in front of his team-mates as well.

"I have not got a problem with Wes - he's a little gem of a player and he'll have a big part to play in us gaining points. Me and Wesley are fine."

City midfielder Sammy Clingan has been included in Nigel Worthington's Northern Ireland squad to face San Marino in their World Cup qualifier on February 11.

Meanwhile City goalkeeper David Marshall has been called up for Scotland's get-together at St Andrews next week.

Marshall is part of a 26-man party for the three-day gathering, which manager George Burley has called as part of his preparations for the World Cup qualifying double-header against Holland and Iceland in March and April.

City fans will be keeping one eye on the weather forecast as they brave the bad weather to follow their team in the Midlands tonight.

Molineux has undersoil heating and is expected to be declared fit to play on, although conditions around the ground are also a factor, especially if conditions get any worse.
