Leonid Slutsky says Hull will be wary of Cameron Jerome as they look to build on their six-star performance last time out.

The Tigers head to Carrow Road on the back of a 6-1 thrashing of Birmingham City a fortnight ago, but the Russian is well aware that the Canaries should be a very different proposition.

“Like always in the Championship it will be unpredictable, but I hope that we can keep our level of confidence and quality from our last match,” said the Hull boss.

“Norwich are a very good team, though, especially at home and I think it will be a very close game.

“They have a very good mix of players – foreign and domestic – with a German coach and they are a very strong, big, fast team.

“There is plenty of experience in the Norwich team and they have some real leaders like Jerome up front. He is a dangerous player that we have to watch.

“Daniel Farke is a manager I have not come up against before, but I have watched four or five Norwich matches and although they conceded a lot of goals in the early weeks of the season, they have had five clean sheets in their last six league matches.

“They are a very strong team and they will give us a difficult game but we will try hard to show our best quality.”

Midfielder Jon Toral insists Hull must use the game to prove they can be consistent Championship performers.

“Like any game in the Championship I’m sure it will be a tough game but we’re ready for it,” he said.

“We need to use the confidence gained from our last result and take it into this game against Norwich.

“We’re confident that we can go there and get a result. We have to show that we can be consistent with our performances and results.”

Toral is aiming to find his top form in the coming weeks after settling down well in his new surroundings. The midfielder, signed from Arsenal in August, performed well against the Blues and now wants to try and nail down a place in Slutsky’s starting XI.

“That game against Birmingham was only my second start for Hull and I feel as though there is still much more to come from me,” he added.
