Preston boss Alan Irvine has warned his players not to be taken in by the Canaries' lowly false position in the table.

Irvine's men sit comfortably in the final play-off spot, while City are just two places off the drop zone - but Irvine says City are better than that.

"I think their position is a false one because they are a better team than their position shows," he said. "Bryan's done well since he got the job, it's a typical tough Championship game.

"If we're at our best we can win it, if we're not we won't. Every game is tough in the Championship, with 14 games remaining I don't expect any easy games.

"I expect us to have to work hard in order to earn any points that we manage to earn.

"Norwich are a good football team, they've got goals in their team - they got three goals at Wolves and not many teams have done that, so it'll be an extremely difficult game."
