Norwich City number one Tim Krul has retained his place in the Holland squad, after new boss Frank De Boer trimmed down the initial 38-man squad ahead of three matches.

The 32-year-old remains in the squad alongside fellow keepers Jasper Cillessen of Valencia and Marco Bizot of AZ Alkmaar - with former Canaries midfielder Leroy Fer among those to drop out from the initial selection, who plays for Feyenoord now.

Krul was recalled in March for the first time since October 2015, when he had suffered a serious knee injury while on international duty, but those games were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He was voted Player of the Season by City fans and kept his place despite Premier League relegation but was kept on the bench during two Nations League games in September.

He will hope to add to his eight caps in a home friendly against Mexico on Wednesday (7.45pm UK time), followed by Nations League games in Bosnia & Herzegovina on Sunday, October 11 (5pm) and in Italy on Wednesday, October 14 (7.45pm).
