Former stars of Norwich City and Ipswich Town will do battle in their own East Anglian derby next month.

Ex-Canary winger Dale Gordon is staging the Legends' match at Yarmouth Town's Wellesley Road ground on Sunday, April 18 (3pm).

Teams managed by Ken Brown and Kevin Beattie will revive their old derby rivalries.

Said Gordon: "We felt it was a good idea as there is no East Anglian derby this season.

"I asked Ken to manage the Norwich team because he gave me my first team debut and because this year is the 25th anniversary of winning the Milk Cup, when he was manager."

City's squad will include Gordon, Darren Huckerby, Dion Dublin, Iwan Roberts, Bryan Gunn, Ruel Fox, Robert Fleck, Darren Eadie, Rob Newman, Jeremy Goss, Gary Holt, Mike Milligan, Craig Fleming and three guest players.

Included in the Ipswich party will be Micky Stockwell, Alex Mathie, Matt Holland, Jason Dozzell, Chris Kiwomya, Fabian Wilnis, Russell Osman, David Johnson, John Wark, Steve Sedgley, Bontcho Guentchev and Simon Milton.

An East Anglian junior seven-a-side competition for age groups from under-9 to under-12, starting at 10am, will be staged before the Legends match. Gates open at 9am. Tickets for the match are £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s and OAPs. They are available in Yarmouth from Simpsons Skoda in Suffolk Road, the Pub on the Prom, David Mobbs Sports in Regent Street, and Legends Lounge Bar on 07545 034375, or online at www.legendsbooking.co.uk
