King’s Lynn Town have confirmed they will host Norwich City Under-23s in a friendly at The Walks on Tuesday night.
The game will be behind closed doors but the 7pm kick-off will be offered as a live video stream for £5.
A Linnets statement explained: “Due to the ongoing government regulations in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the club being rated at elite level, the fixture will be played behind closed doors.”
Lynn are preparing for their first season in the National League and have so far lost 1-0 to Stowmarket Town and beaten AFC Rushden & Diamonds 1-0 during pre-season.
City’s U23s beat their Ipswich counterparts 2-1 in a friendly at Town’s training ground on Friday thanks to a late winner from Rob Nizet. Canaries youngsters Archie Mair and Simon Power are due to spend the season on loan with Lynn.
Norwich legend Ian Culverhouse, who had a successful spell as Paul Lambert’s assistant at Carrow Road between 2009 and 2012, has added former City academy prospects Cameron King and Jamar Loza to his squad this summer.
Lynn have friendlies planned throughout September, with the National League season scheduled to start in early October.
City last played at The Walks in 2018, winning a pre-season friendly 2-1 thanks to goals from youngsters Devonte Aransibia and Adam Idah, as their U23s took over from the first team for the final 25 minutes.
