Kenny McLean has been named in Steve Clarke’s latest Scotland squad as they prepare to play their final UEFA 2020 qualification group fixtures against Cyprus and Kazakhstan later this month.
Clarke will be hoping his side can cement third place in the group before looking ahead to the crucial UEFA Euro 2020 play-offs in March.
McLean is set to add to his ten international caps over the break, with his performances in the Premier League being rewarded with another Scotland call-up.
The midfielder has been a pivotal part of Daniel Farke's side so far this season, featuring in ten of a possible eleven games for City.
His only goal of the campaign so far came against Manchester City in September with his opener kick-starting an impressive 3-2 victory over the reigning champions.
McLean became a father last week to help cap off a positive year for the Scot, who was a pivotal cog in the City squad that lifted the Championship trophy last season.
His only international goal arrived in March against San Marino as he helped his side to a 2-0 victory.
During the previous international break, McLean was forced to withdraw from international duty after suffering a hip injury prior to Scotland's game against Russia.
Ex-City operators Steven Naismith and David Marshall have also made the cut, with impressive performances for Hearts and Wigan respectively ensuring they take their place within Clarke's 24-man squad.
Scotland currently sit 4th in Group I, with Russia and Belgium having already secured qualification for Euro 2020 next summer. Clarke will be hoping his side can build on the display that saw them beat San Marino 6-0 in October.
Winning their respective Nations League group last summer has seen Scotland handed a chance to qualify for the finals next year, providing they can win their play-off fixtures in March.
McLean could feature for Scotland in their UEFA EURO 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus on Saturday, November 16 (2pm kick-off) and Kazakhstan on Tuesday November 19 (7:45pm kick-off).
