Defender Jürgen Colin revealed how he is finally getting to grips with the English game but promised fans there is a lot more to come.

The former PSV Eindhoven man has been an ever present in the league for City this season and has made the right back slot his own this campaign.

But Colin thinks there is still room for improvement in his game despite a number of improved performances this season.

“I'm playing a lot better than last season but I can still improve,” he said. “There's a big difference between playing here and playing in Holland but I really feel that I'm getting used to the English game now.”

The 25-year-old has been getting forward a lot more this season down the right flank - something he was not required to do as much in his time in Holland.

“I have had to get used to things like getting forward when we are attacking since I joined Norwich. I've been working a lot more on my crossing as that is part of the job you have to do as a right back in England.

“The speed of the English game is something that has been hard to get used to and it's been a completely different football education from back in Holland.”

One thing that has made the Dutchman's job even more difficult in recent weeks is the number of different partners he has had in front of him as injuries take their toll on Peter Grant's squad.

No less than six different players have been used down the right flank but Colin said that it is part and parcel of being a footballer to be able to adapt to each other's different styles.

“They all play differently but if I concentrate on my game then everything else will follow. We have had a lot of injuries but we are coping well and I hope to carry on my good form.”
