Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison is expecting a hot reception from Norwich City fans at Selhurst Park tomorrow afternoon.

Morrison snubbed the chance to join the Canaries from Birmingham last August in favour of returning to London - and will be making his first appearance against Nigel Worthington's side since his £2m move.

"I could have gone to Norwich in the summer, so I'm not sure what kind of a welcome I'll get from their fans or their manager," said the 26-year-old Eagles frontman.

"But I made my decision and I'll stick by it. It won't really be an issue on Saturday - the only important thing is that we play well and pick up three points to keep our run going.

“If we are promoted to the Premiership at the end of the season, my decision will be justified, that's all I can say."

Palace go into tomorrow's game 11 points ahead of the Canaries, with a game in hand, but Morrison certainly won't be under-estimating the opposition.

“Norwich will definitely still have a lot to play for, because they're not far behind us in the league,” he said. “So for sure, it will be another difficult game and we'll have to be ready for it.”

Morrison will be hoping to keep hold of his place in the starting line-up at the weekend after scoring just twice in his previous 20 appearances. Top scorer Andy Johnson looks certain to return to action against City after missing two games with a gashed thigh - and unless Iain Dowie opts for a three-man strike-force either Morrison or Dougie Freedman will have to step down to accommodate him.
