Defender Ian Murray is the latest addition to Norwich City's casualty list with a foot injury.

Murray was one of three players having a scan today, along with defender Gary Doherty (groin) and striker Jamie Cureton (foot).

With full-back Adam Drury suffering a recurrence of back trouble, four of the side that faced Scunthorpe on Tuesday are not training today or tomorrow.

The Canaries, with just one point and no goals from their last four Championship games, return to action in Monday's televised match at Queen's Park Rangers (7.45pm).

Said manager Peter Grant: “Ian got a kick on top of the foot. He'll be scanned but he's finding it difficult to walk at the moment so we'll assess that and see how he is when we get the results back later today or tomorrow.

“I hope it won't give us a problem but, sod's law, if Gary's out, there's a possibility Ian will be out.”

Cureton was carrying a foot injury when he played against Scunthorpe and is still feeling the effects.

“If the game was Saturday, I'd say he'd be very, very doubtful,” said Grant.

“The one thing about these guys is they're all desperate to play. I'm hoping some of these guys will be available but at the moment, none of them will train for the next two days.”

Midfielder Jimmy Smith, who suffered an ankle injury in a pre-season game in Holland, is expected back at Colney tomorrow. Depending on his progress, Smith, on loan from Chelsea, could play in the reserve match at home to Ipswich on Monday, October 15.
