Norwich City defender Rocky Bushiri is returning to the Belgian top flight for the remainder of the season, with a move to Sint-Truidense VV set to be sealed.
The Belgium Under-21 international is joining STVV, whose nickname is the Canaries, according to newspaper Het Belang van Limbur. Sint-Truidense are in mid-table in the Jupiler Pro League and said to be in need of defensive reenforcement.
Bushiri came through at KV Oostende and played regularly while on loan with another top-flight side, KAS Eupen, making 31 appearances last season.
That earned his switch to Norwich last summer and the 20-year-old was then immediately sent out on loan, with the intention of spending the season with Blackpool.
However, after just six appearances for the League One club that deal has been brought to an end early to get the imposing centre-back playing regularly.
Bushiri has seven international caps at U21 level, helping Belgium to win 3-2 in Germany last month to remain top of their qualifying group for the 2021 European U21 Championship.
The youngster signed a four-year contract when he joined City and could well come into first-team contention next season, if Daniel Farke's team are unable to avoid dropping straight back down to the Championship.
