Norwich City Under-18s could host Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup fourth round, if they can beat Newcastle in their upcoming third round tie at Carrow Road.
The young Canaries host Newcastle on Tuesday, December 10 (7pm kick-off) but the draw for the fourth round has already been made, handing the winners of that tie a home game against the under-18s of Manchester United or Lincoln City.
That game is scheduled to be played on Friday, December 13 when the Premier League club's youngsters host the U18s of League One side Lincoln at Leigh Sports Village.
Having played both games away from home last season, winning 3-2 at Port Vale but losing 3-0 at Preston, it tees up the chance of two big Carrow Road night for City's academy hopefuls.
United have won the prestigious competition more than any club, with 10 wins, but the last of those was in 2011 and they currently sit in mid-table in U18 Premier League North.
Paul Williams' Norwich squad are bottom of U18 Premier League South without a win in 10 games, picking up just three draws, but they did win 3-0 at Everton on Saturday to advance to the quarter-finals of the U18 Premier League Cup as winners of their group.
The FA Youth Cup fourth round ties have to be played by Saturday, January 18.
