Another season has come to an end for the Canaries and the analysis of a disappointing mid-table Championship finish is already well under way.

Today we bring you a statistical analysis of some of the key performance indicators behind a season which concluded in a 14th-place finish for Daniel Farke’s squad.

City’s head coach has arrived with stats fresh in his mind for many of his post-match interviews this season and some of those facts and figures today once again emphasise the failures in front of goal which undermined an improved defensive performance after an initially worrying first month.

Only one team, Brentford, created more goal-scoring chances or had more shots on target than Norwich yet the Canaries averaged just over a goal a game and just five teams scored fewer goals. Here’s how City compared to their Championship rivals.
